On 12th May 2013, Korean Language House had been a co-supporter for Korean Festival Day in UPM, Serdang, Selangor. This event was hold to promote Korean heritage and culture together with Hallyu Wave that happen in Malaysia.
From the photos below, you can see a few booth with a lot of interesting stuff like KPOP merchandise, Korean souvenir, Korean language lesson's books and Korean food.
You can see me at the food booth since I'm selling Kimbap (Seaweed Roll), Kimchi pancake and Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cake) there. Hehehehe~ The most selling food on that day was tteokbokki because I cooked it so when the customer bought, it still hot.
Not only that, it also had traditional games and Hanbok trial for those who want to play the games and try the traditional costumes of Korea.
And not to forget, during the event, both our booth (Korean Language House and food booths) had a special guest, Erul AF. I may not know him but a friend told me that he won in a KPOP contest and represent Malaysia for season 2 of KPOP Star Hunt. Had a great time chating with him and share our passion towards Korea.
Ok, that's all for this post. Next will be about my trip to Korea with my parents on June 2013. Enjoy the pics~

Dim Sum Chef Restaurant
Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone... it's been a long time since my last post here...
So today I would like to show you a Dim Sum restaurant situated in Kota Damansara. I had been introduced by my teacher, Ms Jane as she said this is a Halal restaurant. So I went there on Sunday in last March with my family to try out the food especially dim sum.
Here is the address:
These are the foods that we ordered that time.
The food was good and delicious even though I didn't get to try all (Can't decide since all looks yummy!). Even my mother who is not fond with Chinese food, she ordered Stir Fried Radish Cake twice!
The place also look cozy and calm but it'll be pack during peak hour especially lunch time.
Having a great time spent there with good service from the staff and the chef himself. Till my next post~

Now, let's cook!!
- Heat the pot and put the oil.
- Put the onion and stir till it golden brown then put the kimchi and stir for a while.
- After that, put the can tuna in the pot and stir well.
- Put kimchi water / water in the pot and let it for 3-5 minutes until it boil.
- Put tofu inside the pot and stir a bit.
- Turn off the heat
- When serve, garnish the stew with chopped spring onion.

Let me introduce the ingredients first.

Long time no see here..
As so many request from my friends, so I decide to share with you guys this Korean snack recipe called 'Ddeokbokki' or Spicy Rice Cake.
Let me introduce the ingredients first.
We need;
3 cups of water
5-10 anchovies
2-3 tbs chili paste
2-3 tbs sugar
1/2 packet of rice cake
Fish cake
Sausage
Spring onion
Sesame seed (to sprinkle)
Okay now we go to how to do it;
1. Heat the water with anchovies until it boil. Take out the anchovies and let aside.
2. Put the chili paste and stir it till it blend.
3. Put sugar and stir well. Let it heat for a while.
4. Put the rice cake inside. Stir and wait till the rice cake soft and the gravy is thick.
5. Cut the fish cake and sausage and put together and stir well.
6. Cut the spring onion to the size according to your taste. Put inside.
7. Stir well and let it cook for a while for about 5-10 minutes.
8. Serve on plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
* Some of you might found ready made Ddeokbokki sauce/paste when you visit Korean store but for me better do it yourself.
* For Ddeokbokki, make sure you use the right size of rice cake as Rice Cake Soup will use different size of rice cake. Some will be in long shape and you have to cut it first before you cook it.
* For chili paste, it according to your taste. If you want it to be more spicy then add more. If you like sweet and spicy, put more sugar.
Enjoy the recipe and let me know if you guys have some trouble with it by comment it here!
Wait for my next cooking session post~
